What is the ASRS v1.1?
The ASRS v1.1 was developed by the World Health Organization with researchers at Harvard and New York University. Part Aβs six questions were found to be the most predictive of ADHD symptoms. Answers in the shaded boxes count towards the score; four or more shaded answers suggests symptoms consistent with adult ADHD.
What your result means
- 4 or more shaded answers: worth discussing with a GP, psychologist or psychiatrist.
- Fewer than 4: ADHD is less likely to explain your difficulties, but screeners are not perfect β especially for women and people who mask.
Is there an AuDHD test?
There is no single validated βAuDHD testβ. AuDHD means meeting criteria for both autism and ADHD, so each is screened separately. For autism, see our guide to autism tests for adults (AQ-10 and RAADS-R).
Can an online test diagnose ADHD?
No. In South Africa, ADHD is diagnosed by a registered psychiatrist, psychologist or medical doctor after a full clinical assessment. Read how to get assessed in South Africa.
